1 Year Later...

Dear You,

I can't believe it's been over 1 year since my last post... better late than never, I guess. How are you? I hope you're doing well. Sorry I haven't been around.

Last July (2014), I tabled at the Portland Zine Symposium. It was a lot of fun! I sold the first copies of issue two, "I know you are but weird am I?"

If you live in the Bay Area, you can buy a copy of issue two at Comix Experience on Divisadero Street in San Francisco. This is an awesome shop and they are so supportive of local artists.

If you're in Portland, you can head over to select Multnomah Country libraries and check-out issue one or issue two!

I'll be back soon with more updates. Thanks for reading :)

I'm Sorry I Suck & LA Zine Fest 2014

Dear Readers,

I'm still alive, I swear. I'm sorry I've been gone for so long and that I truly suck at drawing regularly and updating. I could say I've been diligently working on my new comic, but that would be a big fat lie and I am not a liar.

So if you're in the area that weekend, visit LA Zine Fest and buy some zines!!!

On that note, I'd like to make a toast to world peace.

Guess what?

I'm pretty horrible at updating this blog but I do have some news to share!

Melancholy Rainbow is now being sold at Isotope Comics in San Francisco! So go checkout Isotope Comics if you're in SF. It's a super cool comic book store and my favorite place to hangout.

In August I participated in the Portland Zine Symposium where the Portland public library bought a few copies of my zine which they are now available for your reading pleasure at a few of their branches :)

I've been working on Issue #2 of Melancholy Rainbow as well as a few other things which should be out in December (I hope). I don't think I made the deadline for the East Bay Zine Fest this year, but we'll see. Fingers crossed.

Heart Attacked

My heart needs to take karate lessons or something.

Dear Readers,

In the world of dating/relationships, heartache and heartbreak are inevitable. But everything before that point is pretty awesome, don't you think? It's funny, when people read my comics about dating, they end up feeling sorry or bad for me which is stupid. I'm not crying over boys. I'm mostly just really unlucky and I'm OK with that. My comics are COMICS. They're supposed to be self-deprecating and funny and most of it is exaggerated and only some of it is true like most of it is real, like only 99% of it actually happened.

Thank you for caring about my feelings but please don't feel sorry for me or I'll start drawing happy comics and who wants that? NOBODY.

love always,
