From Issue Two - "I know you are but weird am I?"

What's new?

OH. Hey... Hi.. How are you? Me? I'm good. You know, just normal shit. Nothing too crazy. I haven't been drawing and I haven't updated the blog in ages. I always feel lazy, especially after work. I say I don't have the time to draw, but I guess I could find time. It's more that I haven't been feeling motivated or inspired. I've been feeling like a greasy meatball when it comes to being creative. I started eating vegetarian this year so feeling like a greasy meatball is even more disgusting to me now.

Early last year I started sketching a new comic about a sad, tiny elephant. I completely abandoned this project when I succumbed to the hype surrounding Downton Abbey and watched a few episodes. A few episodes turned into late nights binge watching on Amazon Prime video. The next thing I knew, I had given up on my comic, my blog, my friends, and I lost my job because I couldn't stop watching. I knew I needed help when I realized I was speaking with a very bad British accent that was so terrible, it literally made me sick.

I'm not drunk right now. It's very late and I'm very tired and weird and I'm just typing whatever my brain is saying. I'm going to bed now... but before I do, maybe you can help?

How do you stay motivated? And what inspires you? TELL ME YOUR SECRETS.

East Bay Alternative Book & Zine Fest 2015

What are you doing Saturday? Wanna come to the East Bay Alternative Book & Zine Fest in Berkeley? Yeah? You should because I'll be there and because I love you.

Berkeley City College

P.S. I've been suffering from the stomach flu for the past week and I haven't left my house or seen other humans in a long time. My anxiety as well as the real possibility of me shitting my pants in public have subsided. I am so happy to be feeling better. See you Saturday!
